Sisi auf Schloß Gödöllö

Sisi auf Schloß Gödöllö

fiction by Christian Frosch, AT/DE 1994, 40 min., 35mm

"Once the Empress sent for the latest circus attraction, two negro girls joined at waist, to come to Gödöllö for her to see. Elisabeth said to her mother: "But the Emperor was so disgusted at the mere thought, he didn't even want to look at them." (Legacy of Corti, 1875 document) Artists, actors, Siamese twins, a summer night's dream: Sisi (irritable), Franz Joseph (vomiting), a night, a blood bath and a duet in the mountains... This is the raw material which makes up this nightmare. "Sisi at Castle Gödöllö", a merciless operetta.

Stefan Grissemann, Die Presse
